A literature approach to History

A “literature-centered” approach to learning History is best
in our opinion. This focuses instruction each year on
compelling selections of literature that provide "living"
pictures of the time periods studied. This allows history to
become more relevant to the child's experience and helps
to encourage them to explore more deeply the hand of the
Creator in world events.
Learning about dates and important figures in History
should allow us to see the Glory of the Almighty and his
Grace toward mankind; but reading about the events of
history from the perspective of those that lived it enables
the child to realize his or her own importance in shaping
the future.
